Placing an order signifies that you agree to our terms and conditions of sale. Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions.
These conditions of sale (“the conditions”) supplied by Essential Interiors (“The Company”) of 110 Carolgate, Retford, Nottinghamshire. (“The Company’s Address”) to a purchaser (“The Buyer”) shall be incorporated into each contract (“the contract”) made by the company for the sales of the company’s goods (“the Goods”). The company contracts upon such terms as are agreed between the Company and the Buyer.
2. Carriage and Packaging
The prices stated do not include delivery. The delivery costs can be viewed prior to ordering by clicking on the delivery cost icon on the home page.
All prices shall be as stated by the Company unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any discounts or “special offers” displayed will only be applicable at time of display.

All orders made online require payment in full at the time of order.
5. Delivery, Examination and Claims
The company will use its best endeavours to complete delivery on or before any delivery dates requested by the Buyer or estimated by the Company. If delivery is not possible within the specified time, the Buyer will have the option of a full refund and cancellation of the order. The Company will not be obliged to offer any compensation for disappointment suffered.
If the Company cannot complete delivery due to discontinuation of goods then any sum paid by the Buyer will be refunded and the Seller will notify the Buyer at the address given on the order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days of order. The Company will not be obliged to offer any compensation for disappointment suffered.
The buyer shall accept mutually arranged delivery. If you are not at home for a pre-arranged delivery then we reserve the right to apply a second delivery charge to redeliver your order.
Accessories, where necessary, are dispatched via Courier and require a signature on delivery. If no one is available to accept delivery collection can be made from your nearest depot.
The buyer shall upon delivery examine the Goods and shall promptly (in any event within 7 days of delivery) notify in writing the Company, where appropriate, of any apparent damage, defect or shortages.
Ownership of all goods delivered to customers shall remain with Essential Interiors until full payment has been received in respect to goods and services supplied.
6. Guarantee and Warranty
All our bespoke furniture is guaranteed and will be repaired or replaced should any structural
fault develop within 2 years of purchase. All wooden and leather dining chairs and footstools will be repaired or
replaced should any structural fault develop within 1 year of purchase. Mattresses will be fully replaced should
any manufacturing fault develop within 1 year of purchase.
Our furniture is suitable for normal domestic use, and is not guaranteed for commercial use unless requested on order. All customers must comply with care instructions provided.
We are only able to repair or replace items of furniture as per the guarantee stated above within the UK.
7. Cancellation & Returns
Upon receipt of the goods, the Buyer has 7 days in which they can choose to cancel the order and return the goods for a refund. The Buyer is wholly responsible for the cost of returning the item(s). This complies with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, under these terms you as the customer have a duty of care for the product whilst it is in your possession. The customer must make the goods available for collection within 7 days of cancellation, and take reasonable care of any items until collection. This does not apply to used mattresses or items made to the customers own specifications. If products are damaged by you and subsequently returned, a charge will be made to repair the product to its original condition. Please be aware that where repair is not economically viable no refund will be made. Refunds can only be made by the same method used for the purchase.
All drawings, descriptions, illustrations, weight and dimensions given in the Company’s catalogues, price lists or other advertising matter are approximate and intended for general guidance purposes only. They may be subject to change without prior notice to the Buyer.
